DigiAssess, a product of DigiVal IT Solutions, is designed to enable higher education institutions to meet academic, regulatory, and accreditation requirements through structured, data-driven assessment processes. The platform supports institutions in aligning their academic operations with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks, quality assurance standards, and continuous improvement models required by accreditation bodies.

This policy outlines how DigiAssess supports compliance, governance, and accreditation readiness across the academic assessment lifecycle.

1. Academic Compliance Framework

DigiAssess is built to align with institutional academic governance structures and regulatory requirements. The platform digitizes assessment processes in a way that ensures consistency, transparency, and adherence to defined academic policies.

Institutions can configure their academic structure within DigiAssess, including programs, courses, curriculum hierarchies, and assessment rules. This ensures that all assessments conducted through the platform are aligned with approved academic frameworks and institutional guidelines.

The system acts as an execution layer for institutional policies, ensuring that compliance is not dependent on manual processes but embedded into the system workflow.

2. Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Enablement

DigiAssess provides comprehensive support for Outcome-Based Education models, which are central to modern accreditation frameworks.

The platform enables institutions to define and manage:

  • Course Learning Outcomes (CLO)
  • Program Learning Outcomes (PLO)
  • Mapping between CLOs and PLOs
  • Alignment of assessments with learning outcomes

Each assessment item can be mapped to specific learning outcomes, ensuring that evaluation is directly linked to competency measurement. This structured mapping enables institutions to demonstrate outcome achievement in measurable and auditable formats

3. Assessment Design and Standardization

DigiAssess ensures that assessments are designed in a structured and academically valid manner.

Institutions can create detailed assessment blueprints that define:

  • Topic distribution
  • Difficulty levels
  • Learning outcome coverage
  • Cognitive levels

Faculty members can develop and manage question banks categorized by subject, topic, outcome, and difficulty level. This standardization ensures that assessments are consistent, balanced, and aligned with academic objectives.

By digitizing the assessment design process, DigiAssess reduces variability and enhances academic rigor.

4. Controlled Assessment Execution

DigiAssess supports secure and standardized exam conduction across multiple environments, including onsite, remote, and offline modes.

The platform enforces predefined assessment rules such as:

  • Exam duration and timing
  • Navigation restrictions
  • Question randomization
  • Authentication and proctoring controls

This ensures that assessments are conducted under controlled conditions, maintaining fairness and consistency across all participants.

5. Learning Outcome Measurement and Analytics

DigiAssess provides advanced analytics to measure and evaluate learning outcome achievement.

The platform calculates outcome attainment based on student performance in assessments mapped to CLOs and PLOs. Institutions can analyze:

  • Outcome achievement levels
  • Course-wise and program-wise performance
  • Trends across academic terms and cohorts

These insights help institutions identify learning gaps, evaluate teaching effectiveness, and implement targeted academic improvements.

6. Item Analysis and Assessment Quality

To ensure the quality and validity of assessments, DigiAssess provides item-level analysis.

Institutions can evaluate:

  • Difficulty index of questions
  • Discrimination index
  • Effectiveness of distractors in MCQs

This allows faculty to refine question quality, improve assessment reliability, and ensure that evaluations accurately measure student competency.

Such analysis is critical for demonstrating assessment validity during accreditation reviews

7. Comprehensive Reporting and Documentation

DigiAssess generates structured reports required for academic audits and accreditation processes.

These include:

  • CLO and PLO attainment reports
  • Student performance reports
  • Consolidated grade reports
  • Item analysis reports
  • Program-level outcome analysis

All reports are generated in standardized formats, making it easier for institutions to present evidence during accreditation reviews and audits.

8. Audit Trails and Traceability

DigiAssess maintains complete audit trails across all assessment activities.

The platform records:

  • Assessment configurations and changes
  • User actions and system interactions
  • Exam conduction logs
  • Result processing and publication history

These audit logs ensure full traceability, allowing institutions to demonstrate transparency and accountability during audits.

9. Continuous Improvement Framework

DigiAssess enables institutions to implement continuous improvement processes based on data insights.

By analyzing performance trends and outcome gaps, institutions can:

  • Modify curriculum content
  • Improve assessment strategies
  • Enhance teaching methodologies
  • Introduce targeted interventions

This aligns with accreditation requirements that emphasize evidence-based academic improvement.

10. Accreditation Readiness

DigiAssess is designed to support institutions preparing for accreditation by providing structured, audit-ready data and documentation.

The platform supports compliance with accreditation frameworks such as:

  • Outcome-based accreditation models
  • Institutional quality assurance standards
  • Program-level evaluation frameworks

By centralizing data and automating reporting, DigiAssess reduces the administrative burden associated with accreditation preparation.

DigiAssess provides tools and data to support accreditation processes but does not guarantee accreditation outcomes.

11. Regulatory Alignment

DigiAssess supports compliance with regional academic and data regulations, particularly in the Middle East.

The platform aligns with:

  • Institutional governance policies
  • UAE and Saudi academic regulatory environments
  • Data protection frameworks applicable to educational systems

While DigiAssess provides the tools and infrastructure, institutions remain responsible for ensuring compliance with their specific regulatory obligations.

DigiAssess does not assume responsibility for ensuring institutional compliance with accreditation or regulatory requirements.

12. Data Integrity and Reliability

DigiAssess implements measures to maintain data integrity; however, it does not warrant that all data will be free from errors resulting from user input or external system integrations.

Validation mechanisms, structured workflows, and secure processing ensure that:

  • Data remains consistent across the system
  • Reports accurately reflect student performance
  • Academic decisions are based on reliable information

This is critical for maintaining credibility during accreditation reviews.

13. Institutional Responsibility

DigiAssess acts as an enabling platform for compliance and accreditation. Institutions are responsible for:

  • Defining academic frameworks and policies
  • Reviewing and validating reports
  • Submitting required documentation to accreditation bodies
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

The platform supports these processes but does not replace institutional accountability.

14. Continuous Enhancement

DigiAssess continuously evolves to align with emerging academic standards, accreditation frameworks, and technological advancements.

Enhancements are driven by:

  • Regulatory changes
  • Institutional feedback
  • Advancements in assessment and analytics

This ensures that institutions using DigiAssess remain prepared for future compliance requirements.
